Answer: The fairies are at the bottom of the poet’s garden.

Answer: ‘They’ in these lines refers to the fairies.

Answer: The fairies pick little stars to make fans.

Answer: Yes, the poet is a very imaginative person because she imagined a whole new world where there are fairies and she is their queen.

Question 7: Does the poet want the fairies to stay? How do you know?

Answer: Yes, the poet wants the fairies to stay because she says so in the first stanza of the poem. She likes the life she leads – a regular young girl during the daytime and a fairy queen at night.

Question 8: What tells you that the fairies can do things that human beings cannot? Mention with examples.

Answer: Fairies can do things that human being cannot. According to the poem, they have wings and can dance on summer nights. They can also sit on moonbeams and can pick a star to make a fan.
