Question 6: What sort of stories or rumours about the guest were circulated in Iping? Why?

Answer: The stories or rumours that were circulated in Iping were that the guest in Mrs Hall’s inn has no hands, just two empty sleeves. He has no face, just emptiness. The moment Dr Cuss entered the room, the guest jammed both his hands into the coat, however, before that Dr Cuss was able to see that the guest had no hands, just two empty sleeves.
