Answer: Meena shares the secret of kitten they found outside the gate of their house in the morning and have kept in their backyard behind a thick bitter-berry bush.

Question 9: Complete the following sentences.

Answer: In reality music teacher’s chappal were old and worn out, however, he pretended that his chappals were brand new and expensive ones. Due to all this, he tried not to look too happy on getting Gopu Mama’s chappals, whereas he was happy inside as Gopu Mama’s chappals were hardly worn and were near to a new pair.

Question 15: On getting a gift of chappals, the beggar vanished in a minute. Why was he in such a hurry to leave?

Answer: The beggar was in real need for a pair of chappals as his feet were full of blisters. He vanished in a minute on getting a gift of chappals as he did not want to lose that gift by anybody’s interference from the house as he knew that children have given him the pair of chappals without seeking anybody’s permission.

Answer: Gopu Mama is always in a hurry to throw off his shoes and socks and get into his chappals as soon as he is back home. The thought that what would be Gopu Mama’s reaction this evening when he would know that his chappals have been given to the music-master, this made Rukku Manni laugh.
