Answer: The poem is about an earthquake and the disaster caused by it.

Answer: This means that the town which stood still a few moments ago before the earthquake has now collapsed. Houses, roads, parks, trees, buildings etc. now turned into debris and lay on the ground.
2. Some of which have now become tombs.
Answer: After the earthquake, people were out of their comfortable homes. They were buried under the debris of their houses which have now become the burial grounds.
