Answer: The basket containing the Christmas presents was hidden under the sofa because they were meant to be a surprise for the girls’ mother.

Answer: Mrs. March is a kind, helpful, compassionate woman who went out of her way to help others in need.

Answer: The March sisters are generous because they happily gave up their favourite breakfast for Mrs Hummel’s hungry children. Moreover, they decided to use their pocket money to buy a present each for their mother, instead of buying presents for each other.
Question 13: The main idea, message or moral of a story is its theme. What do you think is the theme of the story?
Answer: The theme of the story is the spirit of generosity and compassion for people.
Question 14: What are some ways in which you can celebrate a festival in a way that benefits others and makes you happy too?
Answer: We can celebrate the festivals by spreading love and brotherhood towards others.
