Answer: Africa was full of thick forests, marshy lands, flooded rivers and dangerous waterfalls. The jungles were full of fierce animals and poisonous serpents. These jungles were filled with insects of various kinds which caused many diseases. Hundreds had died due to lack of proper medical help.
