Answer: This story is an autobiography. This is because the ten-dollar bill tells the reader the story of his own life.

Answer: The poor woman didn’t consider Old Jack’s money dirty because she thought that it had become dirty much before it reached him. It had come to Old Jack only after it had been handled by a bank manager who had perhaps been as dishonest as the bank manager she had worked under. I agree with her.

Answer: The lady bought bread and cake with eight dollars, milk and vegetables with one dollar and paid her rent with the remaining dollar.
