Answer: The boys did not do their homework because they were addicted to video games and preferred to compete in the games.

Answer: When the boys forgot to close the door, the burglars broke into the house.

Answer: The poet had referred to the brothers as a ‘horrid sight’ because they got addicted to the video games and were not doing anything except playing video games.

Answer: ‘They’ here refers to two boys.

Answer: They did not eat food because that would stop their game.

Answer: The mother ignored the boys’ plea as she was amazed to see the boys glued to the screen and also the bad condition of the house.
