Hi Everyone!! Today, I am going to share the steps to Create a Test in Google Forms. In the current situation of the ongoing pandemic, all the institutions like schools, colleges, etc. have been shut. It is not possible to take examinations during current times. So, we can solve this problem using Google Forms.
Google forms allows us to add questions of different types like:-
- Short Answer
- Long Paragraphs
- Multiple choice
- Checkboxes
- Drop-down
- Multiple choice grid
- Tick box grid
- It also provides the option to upload a file if you have asked the students to draw or write something and scan and upload an image or PDF file.

How To Create a Test in Google Forms
Step 1 – Mark it as Quiz
Click on the Settings gear icon. Now, go to Quizzes and enable Make this a quiz. Then, click on Save. This will give you the option to assign marks to the questions in the form of points.
Step 2 – Accepting Student Details
If you want to accept the student’s name then, click on Add question from the drop-down choose Short answer. Then, in the Question bar type Name. Mark this as Required from the button in the bottom-right corner of the question.
Then, click on Add question and choose Short answer again. Then, in the Question bar type Class & Div. Mark this Required from the button in the bottom-right corner of the question.
Step 3 – Add Questions
Click on the Plus + sign marked as Add question. Type the question in the Question bar. Then from the drop-down, choose the answer type. To assign marks or points, click on Answer key and type in points, and click on Done.
Using the same steps, add more questions to the test.
Step 4 – Publish the test
After you have added all the questions, click on Send on the top-right corner of the webpage. You will have three options to send your test:-
- Send it to students via email.
- Send a link to the students.
- Embed the test in your website.
