How to Embed PDF File in WordPress
Step 1: Upload PDF file to Google Drive
Log in to your Google Drive. Then, click on New button from the left sidebar and then click on File upload. Now, upload the PDF file which you want to embed.
Step 2: Make the PDF file shareable
After the PDF file has uploaded, double-click on the file in Google Drive. When the file opens, click on three-dot menu on the top-right corner of the pdf file window.
Then, click on Open in new window. After the PDF has opened, click again on the three-dot menu and then click on Share.
Under the heading Get Link, click on change option at the bottom-left corner of the popup. Then, click on the dropdown and choose Anyone with the link and change the permission to Viewer by clicking on next dropdown. Then, click Done.
Step 3: Embed the file
Again, click on three-dot menu and then, click on Embed item. After that, copy the HTML code provided to you.
Now, go to your WordPress post or page where you want to add the PDF file. Then, click on Add block button and choose Custom HTML block and paste the HTML code which you copied from Google Drive.
There you go, you have embedded the PDF file to your WordPress Post or Page. Now, you can see your embedded PDF file in your post or page.
