Question 1: When was Bose born?

Answer: Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23rd January, 1897 in Cuttack.

Question 2: Why did he go to England?

Answer: He went to England to appear for the I.C.S. (Indian Civil Service) examination.

Question 3: Why did he return to India?

Answer: Subhash Chandra Bose passed I.C.S. within a short time of only eight months. But he refused to join this honourable service because he thought that while doing the service, it would not be easy for him to serve his motherland. So, he returned to India and started social service in Calcutta.

Question 4: What did he do after resigning?

Answer: After resigning, he started taking active participation in the freedom movement.

Answer: When he was under arrested in 1941, he slipped off to foreign countries.
