Answer: I think, Petey’s Granddad was very emotional. This is because, it was the last day with Petey for him, as he was being sent to special home for old people and when he plays old tunes for him, we realise that he was very emotional.
Question 3: Do you think Petey likes his future step mother? Justify your answer.
Answer: No, I don’t think, Petey likes his future stepmother because, it was because of her that Petey’s granddad was being sent to special home.
Question 4: Do you think the girl might have influenced Dad’s decision to send Granddad away?
Answer: Yes, I think, the girl might have influenced Petey’s dad’s decision to send granddad away, by saying that all of them will live together.
Question 5: Why does the girl leave?
Answer: The girl leaves because she does not like that Petey’s father is giving such a costly gift to his Petey’s granddad.

Answer: Selfish, money-minded and hard-hearted are the three words that best describe the girl. This is because it was due to her that Petey’s dad was sending the granddad away to the special home for old people.

Answer: Petey wanted dad to cut the blanket into two because he wanted to give the other half to his dad in future.
