Question 1: Why did the farmer bring a baby mongoose into the house?
Answer: The farmer and his wife had a baby whom they loved a lot. They wanted to have a pet as a companion to their son. Hence, the farmer brought a baby mongoose into the house.
Question 2. Why didn’t the farmer’s wife want to leave the baby alone with the mongoose?
Answer: The farmer’s wife did not want to leave the baby alone with the mongoose as she did not trust the mongoose and was scared that the animal might harm her child.
